The major reason why the taste differs between homemade meals and what restaurants serve is that they pay attention to all the small details. For example, the majority of people start using the air fryer without focusing on the preheating but professional chefs recommend turning the air fryer on for 2 to 3 minutes before you initiate the cooking process. So take your air fryer out of the kitchen carcass and set it at 400 degrees F for 3 minutes.
Once you are sure that the air fryer is ready to cook the chicken wrapped, take its basket out and use non-stick spray to apply a thin layer on the basket. It is used to prevent chicken from sticking into the basket. Take a bowl, add all the seasonings to it, and mix them for a minute.
Place the chicken breasts between the plastic wrap and use a rolling pin to pound them. When you find they are even in thickness, use a paper towel to tap on the chicken pieces. It will help you to dry the moisture and make the kitchen ready for the air fryer.
Apply the seasoning mixture we have made to the chicken breasts and rub for a moment. People do not mix ingredients nor do they rub properly, that's why their chicken wrap is not as tasty as it should be. Rub the seasonings for a minute and then set the chicken breast aside.
Take the pieces of bacon and wrap them around the chicken properly. We have 6 pieces of wraps and 2 chicken breasts so apply 3 bacon pieces on each breast and then place it inside the basket of the air fryer. Make sure that the ends of bacon wraps are tucked inside the breasts.
The cooking may take 10 to 15 minutes depending upon the type of air fryer you use. If you are cooking at 400 degrees F, it will take 15 minutes but I do not recommend high temperature because it can accelerate the cooking process but eliminate the original taste of chicken wrapped in bacon. However, you can customize the temperature according to your preference.
Use a thermometer to check the temperature of the wrapped chicken and if it reaches 165 degrees F, take the chicken out of the basket. The longer you cook at a lower flame, the crispier the chicken will be, so do not hurry and let it cook for 15 minutes. In case the chicken does not reach 165 degrees F, cook for a further 10 minutes.
When you find that wraps are changing color to brown and the inner temperature has reached 165 degrees F. Take the chicken breasts out of the basket and use a plate to serve. There are various options to eat with the wrapped chicken in bacon, such as you can eat it with boiled rice or a piece of bread.
