Remove the tray and basket from the air fryer and clean it with warm water and dish liquid to ensure that there will be no residue left from the previous food cooking.
Now wipe the interior with a clean cloth or sponge to make sure that the basket and tray are completely dry.
Put the completely dry basket and tray back into the air fryer. Preheat the air fryer which ensures that the chicken will cook perfectly with texture and crunchiness.
Instructions
Prepare the garlic butter for stuffing. For garlic butter, just mix the butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Divide and shape the garlic butter into small balls and freeze until it becomes solid.
Cut the breast into a perfect butterfly by putting the chicken breast on a cutting board. Cut from the center horizontally by keeping the knife parallel to the cutting board making sure that the breast keeps intact from one side.
Now season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper according to your taste. This seasoning will amplify the flavor.
Place the spoonful of garlic butter on one side of the breast and spread it evenly. Carefully fold the other side over it. Gently press the sides to ensure sealing and secure with a toothpick if needed.
Beat the eggs in a bowl and set aside. Now take breadcrumbs and flour in separate bowls.
Dip the chicken in flour, then in the eggs, and lastly coat it with breadcrumbs.
Preheat the air fryer up to 350 Fahrenheit.
Spray some cooking oil on the bread crumbs-coated chicken.
Place the chicken in the preheated air fryer basket.
Cook the chicken for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Chicken Kiev is ready to serve.
Notes
If you love crunchiness in a dish, then double coat the Chicken Kiev. Dip the Kiev in flour then in beaten eggs, shake it to remove excess, then coat it with bread crumbs. Repeat the process to achieve the extra crunch.
Make sure that the Chicken Kiev is perfectly placed in the basket with enough space between them. This will ensure that the air fryer’s hot air circulates evenly and you will get to enjoy deliciously crunchy Chicken Kiev.
To ensure that the chicken is perfectly cooked, check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer which should be 74 Celsius or 165 Fahrenheit.
Carefully remove the toothpick from the chicken to avoid the leaking of garlic butter.
