First of all you need to preheat your air fryer before you put your fries in the basket. Set the temperature to 200 degrees Celsius and for about three to five minutes.
After five minutes of preheating the air fryer, lower the temperature to 185 degrees Celsius and transfer your frozen fries into the air fryer basket. Do not overload the basket because that would result in unevenly cooked fries. Keep the fires in a single layer so that they get evenly cooked.
Cook the fries for about twenty minutes. And make sure that you shake the basket every five minutes to ensure that the fries get cooked evenly from all sides. If you like your fries super crispy, then you should cook for another three to five minutes.
After twenty to twenty-five minutes, take out the fries, sprinkle some salt over them, and dish them on a platter. Couple them up with your favorite sauces or dippings and enjoy with a can of chilled soda!
Notes
If you are new to cooking frozen fries then I have a few tips for you that will help you get the perfect results. However, I must tell you that you should follow the cooking steps properly and the tips that I am about to give you will only ensure perfect results!1. Do not overload the air fryer basket with frozen fries. Keep the fries in a single layer to leave room for the fries to roll over when cooking. This will ensure even cooking of fires in the fryer.2. You should always preheat the air fryer at 200 degrees Celsius for about three to five minutes before transferring the fries into the air fryer. This will ensure that your fries do not get soggy and cook properly.3. Don’t leave your fries out to defrost. The air fryer is designed in such a way that it takes away the moisture immediately from the stuff you put in. So, defrosting the fries before you put them in the air fryer would ruin them completely.4. You should leave the fries in the basket for a full twenty minutes as it is. In fact, you need to shake the basket every five minutes so that the fries roll over and the heat reaches underneath the fries too. This ensures evenly cooked fries from all sides.5. If you like salt or any other seasoning in your fries, do not add it before or during cooking. Rather, you should only sprinkle the seasoning after the fries are cooked and out of the basket and while they are still hot.6. It is not necessary that your fries will be cooked in exactly twenty minutes. It depends on the shape and thickness of the fries. The thicker the fries are the longer the cooking period and vice versa.
