Take a sharp knife and cutting board to cut the onion and bell pepper. Do not make small cubes, we need a 1-inch long onion and bell pepper so focus on the size and slice carefully. The purpose of cutting the onion and pepper is to fit them in the air fryer basket.
When you are done slicing, add the onion and pepper to a medium-sized bowl and then sprinkle the seasonings. Mix these ingredients with the help of a spoon and add salt, pepper along with the rest of the seasonings. Drizzle the required amount of oil on the ingredients and mix them for a while.
Set the bowl aside and take the air fryer out of the kitchen carcass. People do not preheat the air fryer and start cooking neglecting the importance of preheating but such practices can ruin the recipe. Leave the air fryer on for 2 minutes at 350 degrees F and begin mixing the ingredients added to the bowl.
When you find that the air fryer is ready to cook the ingredients, place the mixture into the air fryer and cook for a few minutes. Stir while cooking and check if the ingredients are changing color to brown. Take the mixture out of the basket once it is evenly cooked and set the mixture’s bowl aside.
Uncover the pack of square sausages and place them on the basket one by one. Make sure that one does not touch another or overlap because it can affect the taste and overcook a particular sausage. Adjust the temperature to 400 degrees F and cook it for 6 to 8 minutes.
The cooking procedure requires 6 to 8 minutes depending upon the type of air fryer you use. Check square sausages from time to time, flip sides and insert a thermometer to note the internal temperature. If the temperature reaches 160 degrees F, it means square sausage is ready to be served.
When you find sausages are cooked, take a plate and transfer them one by one with the help of tongs. Place the vegetable mixture we cooked before on the table and then the plate of sausages. The purpose of making vegetable mixture is to eat it with sausages.
