Planning to watch a movie but do not want to go out to get a pack of popcorn? The recipe I discovered a few days ago will liberate you from purchasing popcorn from a superstore because after reading my guide, you will be able to make popcorn within 15 minutes only. All you need is an air fryer and the popcorn will be ready.
Some people label homemade popcorn as soft, and overly salty; however, they are unfamiliar with the fact that the taste does not change due to making popcorn at home but by using the wrong ingredients. I have made popcorn using the same recipe so many times and they are as delicious as what superstores serve. Come with them to explore a simple and short recipe to make popcorn in an air fryer.

Popcorn in Air Fryer
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- Aluminum foil
- Bowel
- Microwave safe bowl
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Butter
- Salt as per taste
- 1/4 cup Popcorn kernels
- 1/4 tbsp Oil
Instructions
- We have gathered all the ingredients, the utensils are on the table and the next task is to cook popcorn. Before we begin making popcorn, you need to notice that if we leave popcorn for a further 30 seconds when they are ready, its flavor may taste weird so keep an eye on the air fryer when you are cooking. I have divided the entire recipe into short and simple steps so follow my footsteps and get a bowl of popcorn within 15 minutes.
- Take the air fryer out of your kitchen carcass and then turn it on. We will begin the quest procedure by preheating the air fryer to ensure even cooking so leave the fryer on for 3 to 5 minutes. Temperature matters a lot when we preheat so leave it at 400 degrees F.
- While the air fryer is preheating, take the aluminum foil pack and uncover it. Use a knife to cut the foil paper according to the size of the air fryer basket and then place it on the table. Uncover the pack of popcorn kernels and then pour 1⁄4 tablespoon of oil into a bowl.
- Add the popcorn to the bowl and mix both ingredients for 30 minutes. The purpose of using oil is to make sure to evenly cook and prevent popcorn from sticking. Our air fryer is ready to cook the popcorn but first set foil paper on the basket and then add the popcorn kernels to the basket.
- Spread popcorn kernels on the basket and then cook for 5 minutes. Leave the air fryer while you set the popcorn kernels cooking and move to the butter.Take a safe microwave oven bowl and pour butter into it. Place it into the microwave oven and melt butter until you find it has become liquid.
- Move back to the air fryer to check if the popcorn is evenly cooked. Not all the popcorn may be popped, so if there are any remaining, then cook the unpopped popcorn for another 3 minutes. Take the popcorn out and add them to the bowl.
- Our popcorns are ready to serve but the butter part is left. Drizzle liquid butter on the popcorn bowl and sprinkle salt. Cover the bowl with a foil paper and shake to mix all the ingredients evenly then add the mixed popcorns to a large bowl.
Nutrition Report
One of the most important parts of our diet that we often neglect is the amount of nutrients we consume on a daily basis. I advise all my pupils to see a nutrition report before eating something if they want to stay healthy. Some of us are nutrient sensitive so we need to focus on the quantity of nutrients we consume to prevent health conditions; therefore, I have made a nutritional report for you calculating all the nutrients available in the popcorn.

Can I Cook Popcorn at a Low Temperature?
Cooking popcorn at low temperatures is my personal preference. I prepare popcorn at 400 degrees F to make them as soon as possible but if you are busy or working and cooking simultaneously, then you can lower the flame. In this way, you will need to cook popcorn for a longer duration.
Can I Make Popcorn Without Using Oil?
The majority of the people ask the same question and I always try to sum up my words by answering in one word, yes. It is a subjective choice to cook popcorn with or without oil. Additionally, we can use several types of oils, including olive oil, cooking oil, vegetable oil, or avocado oil.
Can I Make Popcorn Without Using Butter?
Adding butter is an optional part and if you are following specific patterns of diet, you can skip the butter part. However, if you don’t sprinkle salt and try to eat without adding seasonings then its flavor may taste weird. Anyhow, you can cook popcorn without adding butter but not without salt.
Final Words
Making popcorn is the simplest and shortest task, but still, people are unable to cook it and complain that their homemade popcorn is not as delicious as what the superstore serves. That occurs when you do not follow the instructions properly and randomly increase or decrease the amount of an ingredient. Additionally, the use of kitchen appliances can affect the results, so instead of cooking popcorn in a wok pan, use an air fryer and see the results.
I have made popcorn following various recipes but the one in which we use an air fryer is the shortest and easiest recipe that can make our deal more crispy and yummy. You can add other flavors, such as chocolate or caramel in the end when drizzling butter. Anyhow, I have explained a short popcorn recipe in simple steps along with a list of required utensils and ingredients as well as I have mentioned a nutritional report.
I hope this information will help you in the future, thank you.
