Parchment paper (Preferably with holes you can substitute it with silicone liners)
Electric beater (Optional)
Whisker
Mixing bowls
Measuring spoons/ bowls
Ingredients
1 ¼cupVanilla milkYou can use regular whole milk or almond milk
3tbspSalted Butter It should be melted
½cupDark brown sugarIt is better to buy the freshly packed sugar from the store
1Large egg
½cupChopped walnuts
⅓cupMilk chocolate chips
5-6Slices of toasted white bread It should be cubed
Cooking oil spray
Instructions
Take a large mixing bowl and whisk milk, butter, sugar, and egg to it. You may use an electric beater for this step to get a uniform mixture.
Next, add the white bread cubes, chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts to another bowl.
Pour the wet ingredients in the first bowl over the bread mixture and stir it well using a whisker. Let it rest aside for around 5 minutes.
In the meantime, preheat your air fryer to 330 degrees Fahrenheit and spray it with the cooking spray. Line it with parchment paper.
Now that the air fryer is prepared, transfer the bread mixture to the air fryer and bake it for around 12 to 15 minutes or until you see the top getting golden brown.
You can check whether it’s cooked by inserting a toothpick or knife and if it comes clean, the pudding is ready. If it is not yet ready, cook it for another two to three minutes, but not more than that, or else it will dry out from inside.
Transfer the pudding to a serving plate and top it off with your favorite ingredients. Enjoy.
Notes
If you have a gluten allergy, try making this recipe with gluten-free bread pieces. Also, you can make this pudding with any type of bread (french, white, wholegrain, etc) as long as it is not savory.
Always preheat the air fryer and set it to bake function to get the perfect bread base. Preheating the appliance will give you a perfectly crispy and tender balance from the inside.
To reheat the pudding, use the microwave. Just put it in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes and you have it ready to be consumed.
If you do not have brown sugar available, substitute it with the regular sugar.
If you are using regular cow milk for the recipe instead of almond milk, always add ¼ cup of brown sugar to it.
