Air Fryer Chicken Wings
I have never met a single person in my life who does not like chicken wings. In fact, for most of us, it is a comfort dish. We order chicken wings with every meal order we place.
Chicken wings are an integral part of any fast food meal. If you ask me, I can not think of devouring a burger without fries and chicken wings. I may be willing to forgo a drink to go with the combination but not the wings.
However, chicken wings are not a very healthy option if they are deep-fried. The quantity of oil in the wings is so high that it is downright unhealthy. So, you shouldn’t really have deep-fried wings too often or too much.
However, the air-fried chicken wings are a whole different story. They are not too greasy and the nutritional quantity is way healthier than the deep-fried option. Plus, the recipe is also super quick and easy.
But the thing is, not many people know how to cook air-fried chicken wings and get the perfect crispy results. So, let me share my own curated recipe which I personally use to cook my own chicken wings every weekend.

Chicken Wings in Air Fryer
Equipment
- Hand gloves
- 1 Large bowl
- 1 Smaller bowl
- 1 Silicon oiling brush
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken Wings
- 5 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp Ground Cumin
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Corn flour
- Olive oil
- Any sauce of your preference
Instructions
- First of all, you need to take a large bowl and place the chicken wings in it. Prepare the chicken wings by splitting them at the joint and removing the tips of the wings to allow for better marination.
- In the meantime, take the smaller bowl and add 5 tablespoons of Greek yogurt and add all the other spices into it. Mix the contents well to make a paste.
- Once the paste is mixed up well, transfer it directly onto the chicken wings. Wear your hand gloves and start tossing the wings so that the paste can spread evenly over the wings.
- After that, simply leave the wings to marinate for a few hours. The minimum marination time is three hours however, the longer you let it marinate the more tasteful and flavourful your wings will turn out to be. So, I suggest, you leave them marinated overnight.
- After the marination time is up, take your chicken wings and dip them into the cornflour to coat them evenly. Gently press the corn flour into your wings to make it stick better. After that, shake off the excess corn flour from your wings and transfer them to a flat dish.
- Now, drench the silicon oiling brush into the olive oil and apply a thin coat of oil on both sides of the wings. In the meantime, set up the air fryer and let it preheat for at least five minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
- Transfer the wings into the air fryer basket and the air fryer. Let the wings cook for five minutes and then take out the basket to flip the other side of the wings before putting them back in. Repeat this process for a good twenty-five minutes and your wings will be ready to serve.
- Serve the wings with your favorite sauce and enjoy the deliciousness! In case you have leftovers, you may refrigerate the wings for about three days.

No, it is not necessary to preheat the air fryer while cooking chicken wings; however, this little extra step adds to the crispiness of the wings. So, if you want your wings to be super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, then you must preheat the air fryer for at least five minutes at 200 degrees Celsius before transferring the wings into it.

In addition to that, these chicken wings are super easy to cook as well plus they won’t consume too much of the oil either. Just make sure that you follow each step of the recipe very carefully.
