Perfectly crispy and flavorful, this restaurant-style version of potato wedges in an air fryer is not only healthy (credits to the air fryer) but also hits the taste buds right. Potato Wedges In Air Fryer
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- Parchment paper You may use a silicone liner
- Silicone-tipped tongs
- Mixing bowls
Ingredients
- 3-4 Medium-sized potatoes They should be skin-on and scrubbed
- 2 ½ tbsp Olive oil You can substitute it with any other vegetable oil
- 1 ½ tsp Garlic powder
- 1 ½ tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Sea salt You may use kosher salt to taste
- ½ tsp Black pepper You may substitute it with chili powder
Instructions
- Start your recipe by scrubbing your potatoes. Cut them into wedges.
- If you don’t know how to cut wedges, it is pretty easy; just slice the potatoes in half horizontally and you will have two long halves. Slice these two halves in half and then those pieces in half, and so on.
- Now, take a large bowl of water and put all your potato wedges in it. Let them soak for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- In the meantime, preheat your air fryer for 3 to 5 minutes to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Dry all the potato wedges using a paper towel. Do this step two times to get rid of any moisture that is left.
- Once done, toss them up in a medium-sized bowl with salt, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and olive oil. Mix everything well and make sure each piece is well-seasoned.
- After this, arrange the potato wedges in the air fryer basket in a way that there is a gap between each piece. This will make sure all your wedges are properly cooked and evenly crispy. For this, you may need to cook the potato wedges in batches.
- Cook them for about 15 minutes and toss the air fryer basket after every 5 minutes. You will see a slightly golden brown color in the wedges.
- Finally, transfer them to the serving plate and enjoy with your favorite sauce.

Try It with Different Seasonings
Potato wedges never disappoint with any sauce, even with regular ketchup. Here are some suggestions from my side.
- Cajun seasoning to add a spicy touch.
- Taco seasoning, which is made up of chili powder, cumin, pepper, oregano, and paprika.
- Truffle sauce, which is made up of freshly grated parmesan cheese, salt, and fresh parsley.
- Ranch, which is made up of garlic powder, onion powder, and dried dill.
What to Serve with Potato Wedges?
Well, potato wedges are a treat on their own. But, you may like the following combinations.
- You can serve these potato wedges with different types of steaks, like French bistro steak, air fryer steak, steak salad, or even steak sandwich.
- I also like to serve them with pork chops, baked and air-fried.
- Serving them with burgers is also a great choice. Some burger options for potato wedges include Italian turkey burgers, air fryer burgers, salmon, and vegan burgers.
Have You Tried It?
Making these potato wedges is quick and easy, and there is no need for oil. You may use this recipe to make it crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside wedges. Do not be afraid to serve them with different seasonings.
